I have a poem that i wrote years ago lol. It won me second place in the National Poetry Society in Las Vegas in 2002 and its in my book called Nightly Thoughts. Well here goes:

I feel no life within this mind of mine
As it thinks from time to time

Breaking down the very nature of existence
Into what you see before you today,

The pain embedded within my mind
And the thought to only live to die

Is showing the weakness of my heart and soul
To which I cannot begin to embowel

This dream I never had till this day of truth
But what is it worth

A little love that I know wont last
But ill try to keep it to the very last

Drop of blood my heart can contain
And yet this seems so mundane

In every respect accountable for
To be done in this war

Of mind and heart
Which is to be shot with the dart?

The mind for thinking what the heart wanted to know
Or the heart for feeling what the mind wanted to show

Either way I state this case
As if it wasn’t a broken shattered vase

That I did throw upon the ground
And end up creating nothing sound

To the ear of man nor beast be told
And in these words I might have shown

The true pain for insanity
That came with the clarity

Of the nothingness I live
And the blood that I only seem to give

PS:Mind you i am NOT emo but i write similar to Edgar Allen Poe xD

From Mexico to my Vertigo
Sao Paolo to my frontal jaw
I utter words with too much flaw
rhymes are good but mediocre tho

for a true artist's shouts of woe
feelings to cover- what needs glow
Truly bright and to ever flow

what must I write, what needs to go
racking my brains, to and fro
words to use, I do not know...
But, one thing's for certain 'fore I go

is that I wrote this to wallow
from Toronto to Acapulco
Peru to Krakow
and Moscow to Tokyo

To travel so wide and so long
only begins to show what is wrong

your pain we hear as the words begin to crawl
yet your tongue speaks daggers in draw.

Knowing whats word to use breaks its own law
As these words are no more mediocre as ones fall

Yeah, I Muster up the thoughts I wanted
till they wait in my head slightly faded
yeah, I think I'd write a chunk of those
I need more space in my head to diagnose

Tired and weary, eyes are blaring
I can't sleep, but remain to've been gazing
At the portal screen to artificial life I see
Artificial happiness, my own fiction I want to be

Yeah, Agreed that it's lonesome, perhaps fearsome?
not really... too bored to understand some
for wanting to travel by thoughts...
minds end up in flames as moths

Perhaps it looks good if I added more rhymes and styles
Bombard with words, declare it is art - it is not
For what is art in my opinion - nothing but fervent desires
Greater than having Neruda's pen, is to desire a lot
